Requirements for Getting Your Full License



1. Learner License to Restricted License:

To progress from a Learner License to a Restricted License, you must:

• Hold your Learner License for at least 6 months.
• Be at least 16 ½ years old.

2. Restricted License to Full License:

Once you have your Restricted License, the timeframes for obtaining your Full License vary depending on your age and whether you've completed an advanced driving course:

For Drivers Under 25:

• With an Advanced Driving Course: You must have held your Restricted License for at least 12 months.
• Without an Advanced Driving Course: You must have held your Restricted License for at least 18 months.

For Drivers 25 or Over:

• With an Advanced Driving Course: You must have held your Restricted License for at least 3 months.
• Without an Advanced Driving Course: You must have held your Restricted License for at least 6 months.
